Pathfinder is an infrastructure company based in Western Canada focused on developing energy projects. We find ways to get things done by either creating new infrastructure by building what is needed or repurposing existing infrastructure. We’ve taken a pipeline that was used for oil and converted it for natural gas use.
Pathfinder was originally incorporated as Nexus Energy Associates Ltd. but chose the name “Pathfinder” as we transitioned into the power generation business.

Pathfinder understands the ongoing transition to clean and sustainable energy. Our projects are designed to easily incorporate the technologies of the future including hydrogen combustion and carbon capture. As the technological and financial viability of these innovations become better understood, Pathfinder will be in position to proactively capitalize and execute. Recently we installed our first wholly owned 4MW thermal power project, moving from project sanction into commissioning and operation in less than 6 months. A growth company, our medium-term development plans call for an additional 16 MW of thermal power with line of sight to over 150MW.

We look at the Western Canadian Infrastructure map and see significant opportunities to provide capital efficient solutions to both internal stakeholders and our clients.
Pathfinder is a privately held infrastructure developer who both owns and operates its own projects. We are actively working with power producers, data miners and energy companies to help them move molecules and electrons in Western Canada.
Additionally, we help third party clients execute on their pipeline projects in Alberta. Current support includes project management expertise for permitting, installation, and commissioning their pipelines to support the movement of natural gas to their facilities.
